TWELVE YEARS OF LIGHTS AND RACING IN THE LION CITY: A PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

With the excitement rising for the long-awaited comeback of the Singapore Grand Prix, the photographic exhibition “Twelve Years of Lights and Racing in the Lion City” organized by DZ Engineering Srl, will guide visitors through the historical journey of the first night-time event of Formula 1.

The photographic exhibition, under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy, will be held from 28th September to 3rd October 2022 at The Arts House, as one of the official events of the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2022 (GPSS 2022), and it will then move to the Italian Embassy in Singapore, from 5th October to 31st October 2022.

Organized by DZ Engineering SRL, a subsidy of the Dino Zoli Foundation, with the support and promotion of the Italian Embassy in Singapore, Italia-ASEAN, EuroCham, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, Twelve years of lights and racing in the lion city celebrates the company’s 12 years work to bring perfect lighting to the Singapore Grand Prix.

The exhibition documents the fourteen years history of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, now an integral part of the culture and lifestyle of Singapore. It starts from the record breaking 2008 event, when DZ Engineering lightning showed the world, for the very first time, the stunning skyline of Singapore from the Marina Bay Circuit.

The display is curated for the Dino Zoli Foundation by Nadia Stefanel, who is vastly experienced in working in Motorsports events in Singapore. It also features photographs from the Italian Flavio Mazzi, one of the most proficient and accomplished Formula 1 photographers. His most significant works include over 450 Formula 1 Grand Prix competitions, team launches, ranging from private factory glimpses, exclusive VIP F1 events and several other racing highlights.

The source of inspiration for the exhibition is the so-called “continental circus”, made of professionals, transport, support vehicles and motorhomes, which follows the drivers all around the world. DZ Engineering Srl and the Dino Zoli Foundation have worked towards the same goal since 2017: creating a bridge between Motorsports and artistic expression.
