RAFFAELLO 500: Universal Master 1520-2020

RAFFAELLO 500: Universal Master 1520-2020

On April 6, 1520, Raffaello Sanzio, one of the geniuses of the Renaissance, passed away in Rome.

On the occasion of 500th anniversary of his death, while waiting for the cultural institutions and museums to reopen and to see the works of art live again, we celebrate the Renaissance Master through numerous multimedia initiatives accessible online.

A collection of in-depth videos is available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs YouTube channel: "Raphael 500: Universal Master".

Scuderie del Quirinale offers a VIRTUAL TOUR through the 'Raffaello 1520-1483' exhibition. It was open to the public for only four days before its closure due to Covid-19 and will be open again from 2nd June till 30th August.
A succession, room after room, of faces, looks and gestures of extraordinary beauty.
