Compulsory negative swab within 72 hours prior to departure for Singapore

Singapore has introduced the obligation of a negative PCR molecular swab to be carried out within 72 hours prior to departure from Italy. Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents are exempted from Covid-19 test, and starting from 15 December 2020 children under the age of 6 will be also exempted.

Singapore acknowledges Covid-19 test reports issued by internationally recognized laboratories or by the authorities in charge in the country of issue. The report must be in English and must contain the following data:

- date of acceptance and date of the medical report;

- name, surname and date of birth (or passport number) of the concerned person;

- PCR test result.

In Italy, both public and private laboratories are authorized to perform molecular tests. To find out which centers issue this certificate, you can refer to the web pages, of the regional sites, dedicated to COVID-19 or check directly with the local health authority. Some medical centers already issue their medical documents in English.

If the swab is positive, the proving documents of the first diagnosis of Covid-19 positivity will be required. The date of the first positive swab must be between 22 and 180 days prior to the date of arrival in Singapore. Travelers with a positive Covid-19 test dated 21 days prior to departure will not be allowed to board the plane.
