The Global Start Up Program lands for the first time in Singapore

The Global Start Up Program lands for the first time in Singapore, the main financial and technological innovation hub of Southeast Asia.
Eight innovative Italian startups have been chosen as protagonists of the two-month course at Accelerating Asia, a highly dynamic local accelerator in the innovative ecosystem of the City-State.
"Thanks to this program" declared the Italian Ambassador in Singapore Mario Vattani, "these young startups will embark a path of growth and learning with a full calendar of mentoring sessions, workshops, networking events and meetings with potential investors and companies".
The decision to include Singapore, which is the most important hub for technological innovation in the ASEAN region, in the Global Startup Program organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was strongly supported by the latter on the intiative of the Embassy of Italy in Singapore, following several meetings between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
"The Global Start Up Program", explained the Deputy Director of the Italian Trade Agency Office in Singapore, Ilaria Piccinni, "represents for our companies operating in the technological sectors a highly innovative tool to develop skills and improve their business by contributing to the economic activity of their country".
The startups selected for Singapore come from different operating sectors, from Artificial Intelligence to EdTech, from Media, to Fintech and Space. (ANSA)
