Singapore is the 41° market of Italian exports and the 66° Italy’s supplier. In 2021, Italy represented the 20° supplier and the 35° client of Singapore internationally

In 2020, due to the pandemic, bilateral trade amounted to 2.3 billion of euros, with exports of 1.8 billion (-9,7%) and imports of about 470 million (-13,7%). The trade balance was, however, positive for 1.4 billion euros.
The latest available data of 2021, on the other hand, display a total of bilateral trade equal to 2.7 billion of euros. Exports amounted to 2.1 billion of euros, while imports to an amount of 540 millions of euros.

In 2021, the main sectors of our exports were: machineries and equipment, computer and electronics, Coke and petrol products, chemical products, electrical equipment, and manufacturing industries’ products. On the other hand, the main sectors concerning our imports were: pharmaceutical products, computer and electronics, chemical products, machineries, and equipment and leather goods (excluding garments).
