On the occasion of the Italian Research Day in the World, the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, sent a message of appreciation and good wishes for all the Italian researchers in the world.
This message was mentioned by the Italian Ambassador in Singapore, Raffaele Langella, during the opening of the event entitled “Art meets Physics, a tribute to Leonardo da Vinci (15 April 1452 – 2 May 1519)” organized by the Embassy in collaboration with the Nanyang Technical University. The Ambassador also recalled the worldwide importance of the event that is celebrated simultaneously in Italy and in many other countries of the world. The date of April 15 to celebrate the Italian Research Day in the world was chosen on the occasion of the birth day of Leonardo da Vinci of who this year is also the 500th anniversary of death.
