Let international opera baritone Martin Ng and soprano star Li Wenxia serenade you and bring you into the world of opera with the greatest classics and the most well-loved tunes of grand opera: from the doleful melodies of Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” and romantic tunes of La Bohème; to the heart-wrenching music of Turandot and the world famous soprano aria “O mio babbino caro” ( My dear Father). Then we are transported to Spain to enjoy the beauty of French opera in the form of the majestic Toreador Song from Bizet’s Carmen and the coquettish duet “Là ci darem la mano” from Mozart’s Don Giovanni. And finally, the program concludes with charming waltz melodies of Viennese operetta from Lehar’s “Merry Widow”.
