The Italian Innovation Days – an initiative jointly promoted by the Embassy of Italy in Singapore, Agenzia ITA/ICE, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, the National Research Institute, Enea, Confindustria Sistemi Innovativi, Compagnia
delle Opere, Enel, Unioncamere, Unioncamere Lazio and Unindustria, in partnership with the Enterprise Europe Network, and with the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – was held in Singapore, on November 21 and 22, 2016.
The initiative was also organised in collaboration with the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce, the Singapore Business Federation, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, the Intellectual Property Intermediary of Singapore and IE (international Enterprise) Singapore.
The theme of the event was “Bridging Italian Innovation with Financial and Industrial Partners in Singapore and ASEAN”.
During these two days, the thirty participating Italian companies had the opportunity to present innovative projects, products or processes to an audience of investors and industrial partners from Singapore and other Asian countries. B2B meetings were also organised to provide potential investors all the details they needed to satisfy their interests.
The initiative was dedicated to specific industrial sectors, chosen on the basis of local market demands, such as Aerospace, Cleantech, ICT, Digital, Fintech, Green Power, Medtech, Smart Cities.
Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy Sen. Benedetto Della Vedova and Senior Minister of State (SMS), Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Transport, Mrs. Josephine Teo officiated the opening ceremony of the Italian Innovation Days. They also had a bilateral meeting during which they reaffirmed the close ties between Singapore and Italy and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
