Visits on board the ship of the Italian Navy “Francesco Morosini” (2 and 5 May 2023, Changi Naval Base)

The Embassy of Italy and the Office of the Military Attaché are happy to announce the arrival in Singapore of the Italian Navy ship “Francesco Morosini” on May 1st.

The Multipurpose Offshore Patrol Vessel (PPA) will be moored from 1 to 5 May at the Changi Naval Base of the Singapore Navy and will participate in the International Maritime Defense Exhibition-Asia (IMDEX) in the warship display segment.

The Morosini, 143 meters long, 17.5 meters wide, with a gross tonnage of 6400 tons, is the second Unit of the Thaon di Ravel Class and is the last among the ships delivered to the Navy. She represents the spearhead of the national military naval shipbuilding industry which, as is known, ranks at the top worldwide.

The Patrol Vessel will also host various promotional initiatives open to the public, including visits on board, on the following dates and times:

In order to better organize the visits on board, we need your cooperation!

We would be grateful if you could spread the information among your members and directly collect the confirmations of the interested members by filling in the table attached here, necessary to enter the Changi Naval Base.

Important Notes:

Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by their parents.

Being inside a military base, entry will be governed by restrictive security measures, for which your full compliance is required otherwise entry will be denied.

It will not be possible to enter the base with your own car, by taxi or on foot, which will take place in a contingent manner from the main entrance to the naval unit by using shuttle buses.

It will therefore be necessary to book in one of the available slots, planning to arrive at the Changi base at least 15 minutes before the starting time of the slot.

Coming with comfortable footwear is recommended.
