Italian Armed Forces and National Unity Day 2025

On the occasion of  November 4th, the Office of the Italian Defence Attaché commemorates the Italian Armed Forces and National Unity Day, which marks the end of the First World War and honours the sacrifice, dedication, and service of Italian service members of all generations.

The event was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Brigadier-General Kum Luen Ho, Chief of Staff of Singapore Air Force, whose attendance reaffirmed the strong and enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation between Italy and Singapore, particularly in the field of collaboration between their respective Armed Forces and Navies, founded on shared values of professionalism, interoperability, and commitment to international maritime security.

The following addresses were delivered:

Dante Brandi, Ambassador of Italy to Singapore and Brunei, who opened the evening with remarks highlighting the importance of remembrance and national unity;

Navy Captain Marco Corsi, Defence Attaché in Singapore and Thailand, who reflected on the role of the Italian Armed Forces as instruments of peace, cooperation, and international solidarity.

The ceremony continued with the solemn performance of the national anthems, sung by Ms. Charmaine Tan and accompanied on the piano by Ms. Pauline Lee. 🇸🇬🇮🇹

The celebration concluded with a moment of togetherness and convivial spirit among the civil and military authorities, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and representatives of the Italian and Singaporean communities. Sincere gratitude goes to everyone for their presence and contribution to this tribute to the values of remembrance, unity, and national pride embodied by the Italian November 4th.
