We are pleased to announce the upcoming arrival in Singapore of Camilla Marrese, an Italian photographer selected for the Italo–Singaporean dual artistic residency project, carried out in collaboration with DECK and the Fotografia Calabria Festival.
Ahead of her departure for Singapore, we are sharing in the gallery of this article a preview of the work developed by Singaporean photographer Alvin Ng during his recent residency in Calabria. His research offers a reinterpretation of the landscapes of southern Italy as liminal territories, traversed by the myth of Faunus, the ancient deity of forests and prophecy. Among ancient woodlands, liquorice roots and artefacts from the Sibari Archaeological Museum, the project unfolds a suspended narrative in which nature, myth and memory intertwine.
A curated selection of Alvin Ng’s works will be on display at Shop–House by DECK
(No. 4, Geylang Lorong 24, Singapore 398616)
from 17 January to 28 February 2026.
Further information on Camilla Marrese’s residency in Singapore and on her artistic project will be announced shortly through the Embassy’s official channels.
