{"id":865,"date":"2023-07-28T13:48:40","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T05:48:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambsingapore.esteri.it\/?page_id=865"},"modified":"2024-09-27T11:54:07","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T03:54:07","slug":"issuence-procedure","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ambsingapore.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/issuence-procedure\/","title":{"rendered":"Issuance Procedure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Visa applications can be submitted\u00a0<strong>6 months in advance\u00a0<\/strong>(9 months in the case of seafarers) and\u00a0<strong>no later than 15 days before the start of the planned trip<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>visa application <\/strong>must be\u00a0<strong>submitted<\/strong>, in writing, on a\u00a0<strong>special form<\/strong>, completed, signed <strong>by the foreign applicant\u00a0<\/strong>and accompanied by a\u00a0<strong>passport-size photograph<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For Schengen visas, the application can be completed directly online using the online\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/e-applicationvisa.esteri.it\/moduloOnline.html?L=it#step-1\"><strong>E-@pplication form<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The foreign applicant must attach the following documents to the application form:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">a\u00a0<strong>travel document\u00a0recognized by Italy<\/strong>, valid for at least <strong>three months after the scheduled date of departure from the territory of the Schengen States\u00a0<\/strong>or, in case of several trips, after the last scheduled date of departure from the territory of the Schengen States (this condition may be waived in justified cases of emergency), with at least two blank pages;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>the supporting documents<\/strong>, where required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The foreign applicant\u00a0<strong>must <\/strong><strong>declare<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the\u00a0<strong>purpose of the trip<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>the\u00a0<strong>means of transport and return<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>the\u00a0<strong>means of financial support during the trip and the stay<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>the\u00a0<strong>accommodation <\/strong><strong>conditions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Procedure for taking biometric data (for Schengen Visa only)<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Schengen Visa applicants <\/strong>must\u00a0<strong>provide their biometric data <\/strong>(fingerprints of ten fingers and a photo)\u00a0<strong>when applying for a Visa<\/strong>. Therefore, they must be present in person\u00a0at the moment of submitting the visa application. Once the fingerprints are taken from an applicant, it is not necessary to take them again, in the event of further visa applications, for the next\u00a0<strong>59 months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Subjects exempt from the biometric data collection procedure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">children under 12 years old;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">physical impairment, even temporary;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heads of States and of Governments and members of foreign Governments with their delegations on official missions; kings, queens and other important members of royal families on official missions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Italy does not require the collection of biometric data for national visas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VISA FEES\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>National Visa<\/strong>: 116 euro<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Visa for Study reasons<\/strong>: 50 euro<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schengen Visa<\/strong>: 80 euro<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schengen Visa for Minors (from 6 to 12 years old)<\/strong>: 40 euro<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Schengen Visa for citizens from Russia, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Albania, Armenia, Georgia, Serbia, Azerbaijan<\/strong>: 35 euro<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The equivalent amount in Singapore dollars is subject to quarterly updating of rate adjustments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please, refer to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ambsingapore.esteri.it\/ambasciata_singapore\/it\/informazioni_e_servizi\/tariffe-visti.html\">Visa Fees<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to check the <strong>updated amounts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The payment\u00a0<\/strong>of consular fees can be made in SGD by cash or via NETS. The sum must be paid on the spot at the time of issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These fees\u00a0<strong>must be collected at the moment of submitting the application<\/strong>, regardless of whether the procedure ends with the issue of the visa or with a refusal (so-called\u00a0<strong>frais de dossier<\/strong>). As a general rule, these fees are not refundable, except in the cases, after the fees have been collected, it is established that the application cannot be accepted (Art. 19 of the Code) or that there is no competence to process the request (Art. 18 of the Code); in such cases, the consular fee is refunded to the applicant via a transfer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Those who are exempt from the payment of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Visa fees:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Children under 6 years old;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pupils, students, graduates and accompanying teachers undertaking stays for study purposes or pedagogical training;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Researchers from third countries travelling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research according to the Recommendation 2005\/761\/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Representatives of non-profit organisations, aged 25 years or less, participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organised by non-profit organisations;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following family members of EU\/EEA citizens, when accompanying or joining the EU\/EEA citizen, as identified by Directive 2004\/38\/EC and Legislative Decree 30\/2007:<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The spouse;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The partner who has contracted a registered partnership with the EU citizen on the basis of the legislation of a Member State, if the legislation of the host Member State treats the registered partnership as equivalent to marriage and in accordance with the conditions provided for by the relevant legislation of the host Member State;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The direct descendants who are under 21 years old or dependent and those of the spouse or partner;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dependent direct ascendants and those of the spouse or partner;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The holders of diplomatic passports are also exempt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Visa applications can be submitted\u00a06 months in advance\u00a0(9 months in the case of seafarers) and\u00a0no later than 15 days before the start of the planned trip.
