{"id":904,"date":"2023-07-27T11:25:42","date_gmt":"2023-07-27T03:25:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambsingapore.esteri.it\/?page_id=904"},"modified":"2023-07-28T14:06:16","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T06:06:16","slug":"renunciation-of-italian-citizenship","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ambsingapore.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/cittadinanza\/renunciation-of-italian-citizenship\/","title":{"rendered":"Renunciation of Italian citizenship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To renounce the Italian citizenship, the applicant has to present the following documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Birth certificate;<\/li>\n<li>Documentation certifying the possession of a foreign citizenship (Decree or certificate of naturalization, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Proof of residence in Singapore;<\/li>\n<li>Foreign passport (where present);<\/li>\n<li>All Italian identity documents;<\/li>\n<li>Consular fee payment art. 4 letter b) equal to Euro 41.00 at the equivalent in SGD (to be executed at the consular desk on the day of the appointment);<\/li>\n<li>Receipt of the payment of 250 euros:\u00a0<strong>starting from 5 October 2018 &#8211; pursuant to art. 14 of the Legislative Decree n.113 dated 4 October 2018 &#8211;\u00a0 the applications or declarations of election, purchase, repurchase, renunciation or granting of Italian citizenship are subject to the payment\u00a0of the contribution amounting to 250 euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The payment can be made by foreign bank transfers.
