Due to the worsening of the COVID-19 pandemic around the world, the Government of Singapore has placed more restrictive measures for those coming from abroad, with the exception of a few countries in Asia and Oceania.<\/p>\n
Starting from November 18, 2020, anyone arriving in Singapore from Italy<\/strong> (with the exception of Singaporean citizens and permanent residents) must be in possession of the result of the swab proofing that he\/she is COVID-19 negative<\/strong>, carried out within 72 hours prior to departure from Italy<\/strong>. Upon arrival in Singapore, all travelers are subjected to a 14-day isolation period<\/strong> in designated hotel facilities<\/strong> (SHN), at their own expense (approximately 2000 Singapore dollars). At the beginning and at the end of the isolation, all travelers above 12 years old are subjected to mandatory testing for the detection of COVID-19<\/strong> at their own expense (about 200 Singapore dollars). During this period, which cannot be reduced for any reason, it will not be allowed to leave one’s home or room. Failure to comply with this term will result in a fine of up to $ 10,000, a prison sentence of up to six months and the revocation of the stay permit.<\/p>\n Long-term visa holders and their dependents intending to enter Singapore must obtain the approval of the local Ministry of Manpower<\/strong> (MOM) before they can begin their trip by applying through this form<\/strong><\/a> and are required to submit a declaration on one’s health condition before departure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n From 2 June, transits are allowed to those airlines that have obtained prior authorization from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS<\/a><\/a><\/strong>).
