The exhibition is part of the Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) and supported by the Embassy of Italy in Singapore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Between 2014 and 2022, Pierfrancesco\u2019s encounters in Hong Kong evolved into poignant images that\u00a0capture moments of restraint, contemplation, and unspoken murmurs, waiting for viewers to uncover\u00a0their deeper meanings. &#8220;Happy Valley&#8221; is assembled as an allegory weaving through time and narrating the state of mind in the\u00a0pursuit of an ordinary life in Hong Kong. In the words of the artist, &#8220;Through visual metaphors, I have\u00a0explored my relationship with the city, aiming to create a contemporary portrait of Hong Kong, reflecting\u00a0its complex and multilayered realities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>About the artist\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After completing a PhD in Biomechanics, Pierfrancesco is now\u00a0concentrating his attention on a series of personal long-term photographic projects documenting life in\u00a0modern cities. He won the Photo Folio Review, Les Rencontres d\u2019Arles (2021), the Guernsey Photography\u00a0Festival International Competition (2020), PHmuseum Photography Grant (runner-up, 2020), Happiness\u00a0Onthemove Award (2017), EPEA\u201903 (2015), the Photolux Leica Award (2014) and the Ideastap and\u00a0Magnum Photos Photographic Award (2010). His work has been published and exhibited internationally,\u00a0including Les Rencontres d\u2019Arles, Fotografia Europea, Cortona ONTHEMOVE, Nobel Peace Center,\u00a0Gulbenkian Foundation, Wyng Foundation and Deichtorhallen.
