The showcase includes new and recent creations by\u00a0<strong>Nadiah Bamadhaj<\/strong>\u00a0(Malaysia),\u00a0<strong>Peihang Beno\u00eet<\/strong>\u00a0(Taiwan),\u00a0<strong>L\u00ea Hi\u1ec1n Minh<\/strong>\u00a0(Vietnam),\u00a0<strong>Maria Madeira<\/strong>\u00a0(Timor-Leste),\u00a0<strong>Charmaine Poh<\/strong>\u00a0(Singapore),<strong>\u00a0Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook<\/strong>\u00a0(Thailand),\u00a0<strong>Soe Yu Nwe<\/strong>\u00a0(Myanmar), and<strong>\u00a0Pannaphan Yodmanee<\/strong>\u00a0(Thailand).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-redactor-style-cache=\"text-align: justify;\">Supported by the Embassy of Italy in Singapore, the exhibition is curated by Italian scholar and independent curator<strong>\u00a0Loredana Pazzini-Paracciani<\/strong>, a leading advocate for counter-hegemonic and non-Western-centric perspectives in Southeast Asian contemporary art.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-redactor-style-cache=\"text-align: justify;\">The exhibition,\u00a0<strong><em>Disobedient Bodies: Reclaiming Her<\/em>,<\/strong>\u00a0serves as a thought-provoking dialogue on the tensions between patriarchal societal expectations and female self-ownership. Through diverse media, the eight featured artists explore themes of gender, identity, and autonomy.
