He also noted the alignment between Italy\u2019s renewed focus on Africa and Singapore\u2019s expanding presence on the continent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Teo Siong Seng<\/strong>, Executive Chairman of <strong>Pacific International Lines <\/strong>(PTE) Ltd and Co-Chair of the <strong>Africa\u2013Southeast Asia Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>, shared PIL\u2019s five decades of experience in Africa and welcomed closer collaboration between Italian and Singaporean actors in logistics, maritime connectivity, and trade facilitation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Pietro Ginefra<\/strong>, Financial Attach\u00e9 at the Embassy, presented the Mattei Plan\u2019s financial tools, including the <strong>Revolving Fund<\/strong>, <strong>Italian Climate Fund<\/strong>, <strong>CDP<\/strong>, <strong>SIMEST<\/strong>, and SACE, highlighting pilot projects in energy, water, agriculture, education, and infrastructure across 14 African countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Ho Chee Hin<\/strong>, Executive Director for South Asia, Middle East and Africa at <strong>Enterprise Singapore<\/strong>, outlined Singapore\u2019s growing footprint in Africa, with over 150 companies active in 40 markets, and emphasized synergies with Italian expertise to co-develop bankable projects and innovative financing solutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Guglielmo Picchi<\/strong>, Chairman of <strong>SACE<\/strong> (Italy\u2019s Export Credit Agency), described how SACE supports international operations with export credit, guarantees, and risk-mitigation tools, inviting Singaporean and African partners to explore joint projects with Italian companies in energy transition, water, transport, and social infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The roundtable confirmed strong potential for <strong>Italy-Singapore-Africa<\/strong> cooperation, combining Italy\u2019s industrial and financial capabilities, Singapore\u2019s global hub strengths, and Africa\u2019s development priorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Embassy of Italy in Singapore hosted the roundtable \u201cNew Partnerships in Africa: Singapore\u2019s Outreach and Italy\u2019s Mattei Plan\u201d at Sala Italia, bringing together leaders from Italy, Singapore, and Africa to explore opportunities for triangular cooperation.
