On that same occasion, Italian women voted at the national level for the first time, marking a fundamental turning point in the country\u2019s democratic journey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"1054\">From that historic choice emerged the principles that still define the identity of the Republic today: the recognition of human dignity, the protection of fundamental freedoms, equality among citizens, and the central role of solidarity as a cornerstone of democratic life.
