{"id":8755,"date":"2026-06-05T12:40:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T04:40:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambsingapore.esteri.it\/?p=8755"},"modified":"2026-06-05T13:02:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T05:02:45","slug":"a-landmark-celebration-of-italys-republic-day-in-singapore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambsingapore.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/06\/a-landmark-celebration-of-italys-republic-day-in-singapore\/","title":{"rendered":"A landmark celebration of Italy\u2019s Republic Day in Singapore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Embassy of Italy in Singapore marked <strong>Italy\u2019s National Day<\/strong> with an official reception celebrating the <strong>80th anniversary of the Republic<\/strong>, bringing together representatives of Singaporean institutions, the diplomatic corps, and members of the Italian and local communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The evening was honoured by the presence of Mr <strong>Desmond Choo<\/strong>, Minister of State, Ministry of Defence, together with <strong>Ms Yeo Wan Ling<\/strong> and <strong>Ms Valerie Lee<\/strong>, Members of the Parliament of Singapore, whose participation reflected the close and longstanding relationship between <strong>Italy<\/strong> and <strong>Singapore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his remarks, Italian Ambassador <strong>Dante Brandi<\/strong> recalled the historical significance of <strong>2 June 1946<\/strong> and the principles that continue to shape the Italian Republic today, while highlighting the growing cooperation between Italy and Singapore across multiple fields.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ceremony featured both national anthems, performed by Mr <strong>Martin Ng<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A special thank you goes to <strong>Chef Daniele Sperindio<\/strong> of <strong>Art di Daniele<\/strong>, together with <strong>Mett Singapore<\/strong>, and to all sponsors for their invaluable support in making this celebration possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are also sincerely grateful to all guests who joined us in celebrating this important milestone for Italy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Embassy of Italy in Singapore marked Italy\u2019s National Day with an official reception celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Republic, bringing together representatives of Singaporean institutions, the diplomatic corps, and members of the Italian and local communities.
