Elegia Fantastica

Elegia Fantastica is a deeply personal and thought-provoking exploration, seamlessly blending two evocative works – Memories and Visions. This black-and-white exhibition offers and intimate journey through the lens of one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary photography, as Emanuele Scorcelletti returns to his Italian roots to capture moments of quiet beauty and profound significance.

The photographer

Emanuele Scorcelletti is a humanist photographer, deeply inspired by Italian photographic culture, particularly by its rich poetic tradition. His passion for photography began at the age of six when his mother gifted him his first camera. He later studied at the Institut National de Photographie et Cinématographie (INRACI) in Brussels.

From 1989 to 2009, he was part of the Gamma Agency in Paris and continues to work as a freelance photographer for magazines, advertising, and fashion. One of his most iconic images, a shot of Sharon Stone on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, won the prestigious 2003 World Press Photo Award in the Art and Culture category.

In addition to his renowned portraits and images from cinema, fashion, and luxury brand contexts, Scorcelletti has always dedicated his work to social projects. His deep interest in the connections between people, nature, and the environment has been reflected in many of his photo series. Scorcelletti’s work has received numerous awards and has been widely exhibited, including at Leica Galleries in Munich and Salzburg.
