New ICA No-Boarding Directive Effective January 30, 2026

The Embassy of Italy in Singapore announces that, starting from 30 January 2026, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will introduce a new No-Boarding Directive (NBD) procedure for airlines operating at Changi and Seletar airports.

The directive will allow ICA to prevent travellers identified as prohibited or undesirable from boarding flights to Singapore. ICA may also issue NBDs to travellers who do not meet Singapore entry requirements, such as those without a valid visa or a travel document valid for at least six months.

Travellers denied boarding who still wish to travel to Singapore should contact ICA via the ICA Feedback Channel to request authorisation before rebooking a flight.
