SINGAPORE, 6 OCTOBER 2026
Following the success of the previous five editions, the Singapore Wine Exchange returns for its sixth edition on 6 October 2026 at the prestigious voco Orchard Singapore.
Organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the initiative brings together a carefully selected group of Italian wineries, offering a unique platform for Italian wine producers to connect with importers and distributors in Singapore.
Throughout the day, the 11 participating wineries will have the opportunity to present around 60 wine labels to an expected audience of approximately 100 industry professionals, including importers, distributors, restaurants, hotels, sommeliers and trade media invited for the occasion.
To provide participating wineries with additional business opportunities, ITA, with the support of its offices across the ASEAN region, has also invited a delegation of buyers from the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
A selected group of local sommeliers will also have the opportunity to attend a specialised masterclass. The session, taking place from 11:00 to 12:30, is entitled “A Round Trip with Italian Classic Wines” and will be led by Singapore-based sommelier Jessica Anne Tan of SingaPoured. The nine wines featured in the masterclass have been carefully selected by the sommelier from among those presented by the participating wineries.
In addition, starting at 14:30, a sommelier competition will take place. The competition will feature a blind tasting, a service simulation and a wine-list error identification test, providing local talent with a further opportunity to showcase their skills and expertise.
The event is part of ITA’s promotional activities aimed at promoting Italy as one of the world’s leading wine-producing countries and consolidating its position as Singapore’s second-largest European wine supplier.
In 2025, Italy exported 2.09 billion litres of wine worldwide, with a total value of €7.7 billion. In the same year, Italy exported 2.08 million litres of wine to Singapore, worth €18.2 million. From January to June 2026, Italy remained Singapore’s second-largest European wine supplier after France, with exports valued at €9.2 million. Italy is also the fourth-largest wine exporter to Singapore worldwide, after France, the United Kingdom and Australia.
