The Dino Zoli Contemporary Art Foundation present the exhibition of recycled art “A Project of Art in the Night Race, The New Life of the Floodlights” curated by Nadia Stefanel, director of the Foundation, from 13 to 19 September 2023 at The Arts House, Singapore (free admission).
Discarded floodlights of the previous editions, replaced this year with cutting-edge and eco-friendly Led Floodlights by DZ engineering, will be upcycled and featured in the artworks of several prominent artists who combine a fresh aesthetic sensibility with a constructive approach.
DZ Engineering SRL, a company belonging to the DZ Group Holding, that designs and builds systems and integrated solutions in the electrical, lighting and telecommunications fields, with its innovative installation system has supported motorsport events since the debut of the 2008 FIA Formula 1 World Championship in Singapore.
The exhibition at The Arts House will feature the works of 10 rising artists, including Anuska Sakar, Ashley Hi, Chong Si Xuan, Daniel Chong, Elena Lo Giudice, Iman Sengupta, Jeyasree Chandrakumaran, Kumari Nahappan, Victoria Hertel, and Yeo Ker Siang.
The project has been supported by the Embassy of Italy, EuroCham, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. In addition, it has further been selected by the Singapore Tourism Board to be part of the official programme of Grand Prix Season Singapore 2023 (GPSS). Part of the exhibiting artists are also alumni and members of LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE) and the University of the Arts Singapore (UAS), and the initiative received support also from cultural partners such as Art Galleries Association Singapore (AGAS) and the non-profit arts intermediary, Art Outreach Singapore.
