Please be informed that STARTING FROM SUNDAY, MAY 25, 2025, voters who have not yet received their electoral package for voting by postal service for the abrogative referendums of June 8 and 9 at their residential address can request a DUPLICATE from this Embassy.
The duplicate request can be submitted in person at the Consular Office or sent by regular email to: ambsingapore.elettorale@esteri.it or by certified email to: amb.singapore@cert.esteri.it. The request – which can be drafted by using the form available Here – must be accompanied by a valid identification document.
Voters requesting a duplicate electoral package must declare their acknowledgement of the penal responsibilities resulting from double voting, as provided by art. 18, paragraph 2, of Law 459/2001, according to which: “Anyone who, during the Chamber elections and referendums, votes both by mail and at their last registration polling station in Italy, or votes multiple times by mail, is punished with imprisonment from one to three years and with a fine from 52 euros to 258 euros“.
After appropriate verification, this Embassy will provide the necessary instructions to the concerned voters for issuing the duplicates. The duplicate can be sent to the requesting voter’s residential address (if there is sufficient time for the package to be received) or issued and handed to the requesting voter at this Embassy, during the Consular Office’s opening hours [Mon-Thurs 9:30 am -1:00 pm /2:00-05:00 pm; Fri 9:30 am – 3:00 pm].
Please note that this Office, exclusively for issuing duplicate electoral packages, will also be available for two extraordinary public openings on Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, by appointment only, which can be requested by phone at 90629004.
Finally, please remember that the prepaid envelopes containing the voted ballots must be received by this Embassy no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
