“Formula Italia: Genius Beyond the Track” is an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Singapore and Vogue Singapore, celebrating the extraordinary relationship between Italian creativity, design, innovation and high-performance engineering.
“Formula Italia” is conceived as a unique multidimensional experience for visitors to Singapore combining together an immersive exhibition, inspirational talks, high level networking and exclusive storytelling. This initiative would contribute to further qualifying Singapore as a global destination where culture, design, innovation and premium lifestyle experiences converge.
Held during Singapore’s international racing week, the event will mark the first Asian premiere of the Italian documentary “Formula Italia: Genius Beyond the Track”, a unique journey from the origin of the Italian motorsport creativity and passion, though its technological visible and invisible expertise to human ingenuity that have made Italy synonymous with excellence both on and beyond the racetrack.
The premiere will take place within the wider framework of ABITO, presented at the National Gallery Singapore from 3 to 17 October, transforming one of Asia’s leading cultural institutions into a showcase of contemporary Italian creativity. During its two-week run, the exhibition will welcome both local audiences and international visitors, providing a unique opportunity to experience Italian design excellence during one of Singapore’s most vibrant periods of the year.
The internationally acclaimed exhibition explores the dialogue between fashion, industrial design and craftsmanship, revealing how Italian creativity transcends traditional boundaries and how fashion and design can be read as a lens through which to understand the evolution of the role of women in Italian society.
Together, the exhibition and documentary tell a broader story: from fashion to mobility, from craftsmanship to advanced engineering, Italy’s distinctive ability to unite beauty, function and innovation.
Complementing the Asian premiere will be an exclusive live conversation featuring a leading female racing driver. Moderated by Vogue Singapore, the conversation will explore creativity under pressure, resilience, leadership, technological progress and the pursuit of excellence.
Women’s participation in motorsport and high-performance industries will be an important underlying theme of the conversation. Through the experience of women succeeding in traditionally male-dominated environments, the discussion will highlight the role of female talent and leadership in shaping the future of motorsport, technology and innovation, while inspiring a new generation to imagine themselves at the forefront of high-performance industries.
The experience will bring together representatives of the creative industries, luxury brands, business, institutions and media, creating an opportunity for dialogue and networking between Italy, Singapore and an international audience gathered in the city during one of its most dynamic weeks of the year.
The collaboration with Vogue Singapore gives the initiative a powerful editorial and digital dimension, extending the conversation beyond the physical event through storytelling, interviews, social media and dedicated content, and connecting the themes of Italian creativity and innovation with audiences across Singapore, Asia and internationally.
“Formula Italia: Genius Beyond the Track” is ultimately a story about what happens beyond competition itself: the ideas, people, creativity and relentless pursuit of excellence that make extraordinary performance possible.
