Urban Music presents Mezzotono – Italian A Cappella Ensemble, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Singapore and The A Cappella Society.
With an international career spanning over 70 countries across five continents, Mezzotono brings a unique blend of music, humour and Italian flair to stages around the world.
The five-member ensemble creates a complete soundscape using no musical instruments, relying entirely on the human voice to recreate the sounds of brass, guitars, drums and orchestral arrangements through intricate vocal harmonies, rhythm, percussion and sound effects.
Their dynamic repertoire spans a wide range of genres, from Italian pop and jazz to classical masterpieces, film scores and traditional folk rhythms. Their live performances combine vocal virtuosity with comedy, theatricality and audience interaction, creating an engaging experience that transcends language barriers.
Mezzotono have performed at prestigious international festivals and venues, including the Dubai Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, Cairo Opera House and Boston GreenFest, bringing their distinctive interpretation of Italian music to audiences around the world.
