The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is launching the fourth edition of the “Science, She Says!” Award, recognising outstanding young female researchers from around the world who have made significant contributions to the advancement of science and technology through their research and collaboration with Italian scientists and research groups.
The Award will be presented to five young female researchers under the age of 40, with one winner selected from each of the following geographical areas:
- Africa and the Middle East
- Asia and the Pacific
- Europe
- Central and South America and the Caribbean
- North America
Candidates will be pre-selected on a geographical basis with the support of Italian Scientific and Space Attachés in the respective areas. The shortlisted candidates will subsequently be assessed by a Scientific Committee composed of representatives of MAECI, the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and leading Italian research institutions.
The winner selected for each geographical area will receive a commemorative diploma and plaque. The awards will be delivered through the relevant Italian diplomatic mission, which will organise a ceremony for their presentation, ideally in connection with the Italian Research Day in the World.
The Embassy of Italy in Singapore invites eligible young female researchers based in Singapore to submit their nominations by 20 September 2026.
