Italian Research Day in the World 2025: INTERVIEWS WITH ITALIAN RESEARCHERS IN SINGAPORE

Allthumbs interviews with Italian researchers

April 22 marks the birthday of Rita Levi Montalcini (born in 1909), Nobel Prize winner in Medicine in 1986, and is celebrated as Italian Research Day around the world.

The Embassy of Italy in Singapore helps emphasize the importance of this day, recognizing the valuable contribution that Italian research offers not only nationally but also internationally. This is made possible thanks to the network of scientific attachés who work closely with numerous Italian researchers abroad.

Singapore, a leading country in science and research, recognizes the international nature of research and this celebration; indeed, over 100 Italian researchers contribute to universities and research institutes in the City-State, often in key roles.

Four outstanding Italian researchers from diverse fields, interviewed by the Embassy’s Scientific Attaché Nicola Bianchi, represent this vibrant community for Italian Research Day 2025.
