Singapore, 12 December 2025 – From 9 to 12 December 2025, a delegation from the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF), on the initiative of the Scientific Attaché in Singapore, Nicola Bianchi, carried out a mission to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation in the space sector.
The delegation, led by Dr Isabella Pagano, Scientific Director at INAF and co–Principal Investigator of the European Space Agency’s PLATO mission, included Dr Marco Feroci, Director of the Institute for Space Astrophysics and Planetology, and Dr Andrea Bianco, Head of the Technical and Management Unit “Enabling Innovative Technologies” within INAF’s Scientific Directorate.
During the mission, Dr Pagano, one of the world’s leading experts in the study of exoplanets, delivered two scientific seminars at Universiti Putra Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and at the Embassy of Italy in Singapore. The visit also provided an opportunity to explore potential areas of collaboration with researchers and faculty members from Universiti Putra Malaysia, the National University of Malaysia, the Malaysian Space Agency, the National University of Singapore, and Nanyang Technological University.
