Italian jazz pianist and composer Dan Costa will perform in Singapore on 25 September 2026, in a special concert at Bechstein Music World, presented by Bechstein Music World with the support of the Embassy of Italy in Singapore.
With music recorded in Italy, Brazil and the United States alongside renowned artists, Dan Costa has developed an international career drawing on jazz and a wide range of musical traditions. His critically acclaimed work reflects his multicultural background and his appreciation of the natural environment.
Costa’s discography includes his debut album Suite Três Rios (2016), recorded in Rio de Janeiro and recognised by DownBeat among the best albums of the year. His 2018 album Skyness, recorded in Italy, featured Bossa Nova pioneer Roberto Menescal, while subsequent projects included collaborations with artists such as Ivan Lins, Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Dave Liebman and John Patitucci.
His 2023 album Beams brought together an international line-up of acclaimed musicians and received a Gold Medal at the 2024 Global Music Awards. The album further established Costa’s approach to combining jazz with influences from different musical traditions.
In recent years, Costa has performed extensively across Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, Latin America and other regions, bringing his music to audiences on six continents. His international activities have also included masterclasses at leading music institutions and collaborations with cultural and diplomatic organisations.
