Beyond the ongoing ABITO exhibition, Italy once again takes centre stage in Singapore during Grand Prix week, celebrating the excellence of the Motor Valley and the role of women in motorsport.
Singapore, 8 October 2026 – Italy’s presence in Singapore during Formula One Grand Prix week extended from ABITO, an exhibition promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to highlight the dialogue between fashion, design and craftsmanship and currently on display at the National Gallery Singapore, to Formula Italia: Genius Beyond the Track, an event hosted today by the Embassy of Italy and dedicated to women in motorsport, also held in collaboration with Vogue Singapore.
The initiative featured the Asian premiere of the documentary Formula Italia: Genius Beyond the Track, a journey to the roots of Italian creativity and ingenuity that have helped make Italy and its Motor Valley a global reference point in motorsport.
Opened by Ambassador Dante Brandi, who highlighted its value as a bridge with Singapore, home since 2008 to the world’s first night-time street Grand Prix, the initiative also featured Marco Panieri, Mayor of Imola, one of the world’s motorsport capitals.
The following panel brought together Amanda Chew, Volunteers and Officials Chairperson at Motor Sports Singapore; Li Rui, Head of Communications and Institutional Affairs for Pirelli in Asia-Pacific; Sadia Asim, Head of Communications for Ferrari Middle East; and Claire Jedrek, former professional racing driver and motorsport presenter.
Their experiences highlighted the contribution of women to a sector undergoing rapid change, and the role of talent, leadership and innovation in shaping its future.
