Italian Research Day in the World: Interviews with Italian researchers in Singapore

On the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Leonardo Da Vinci, the Italian Research Day in the world is celebrated on 15 April each year.

For the occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani celebrates the over 30,000 Italian scientists abroad. Watch his video message.

The Italian Embassy in Singapore helps to underline the importance of this day, aware of the contribution that Italian research offers not only nationally but also internationally. All this is possible also thanks to the network of Scientific Attachés who work in close contact with the numerous Italian researchers abroad.

Singapore, as an advanced country in the field of science and research, recognizes the importance of the international nature of research and therefore of this day; in the City-State there are in fact many Italian researchers who collaborate in relevant universities and research institutes.

Among these figures are the following four brilliant Italian scientists who work in different sectors and who were interviewed for the Italian Research Day in the world 2023, by the Scientific Attaché of the Embassy, Nicola Bianchi:

  • Domenico Campolo, Associate Professor at NTU and leading expert in healthcare robotics (watch the interview)
