For the 24th edition of the International Week of the Italian Language (from 14 to 20 of October 2024), the Embassies of Switzerland and Italy have come together to celebrate our shared Italian heritage and the value of multilingualism. About the movie
This film humorously explores Switzerland’s linguistic diversity, portraying the chaos that ensues after a fictional referendum proposing French as the sole national language accepted. The audience is taken on a journey through Switzerland’s (linguistically) diverse regions, providing insights into the country’s unique political and cultural nuances. Much of the story unfolds in the Italian-speaking Ticino region, where two policemen are dispatched to investigate a rebellious resistance group.
