The Italian Academy of Cuisine, the National University of Singapore and the Embassy of Italy are pleased to invite you to the seminar “Towards 30 by 30: Addressing Challenges and Harnessing Innovation”.
The seminar will focus on Singapore’s goal of achieving “30 by 30”, which aims to produce 30% of its nutritional needs locally by 2030. Launched in 2019 by the Singapore Food Agency (S.F.A.), this initiative addresses vulnerabilities in global food supply chains, and emphasizes the importance of overcoming challenges related to scaling up high-tech food production, reducing costs, and ensuring public support. It is a strategic move, given that Singapore currently imports over 90% of its food. Continued Government support, technological innovation and robust public-private parterships will be critical in ensuring feasibility.
It is possible to follow the seminar in person or remotely via ZOOM.
