Visas

The Embassy of Italy in Singapore is competent to issue Schengen and national visas for Italy and Schengen visas for Malta.

Schengen visas are for short stays with a maximum duration of 90 days, every 180 days.

The national visas are for long stays, with a duration of from 91 to 365 days, aimed at a transfer to Italy by the applicant (visas for work, study, family reasons…), through the subsequent obtaining of a Card or a Residence Permit stay, issued by the competent Italian Questura for the area.

Some types are reserved exclusively for short-stay visas (business, sports competition, invitation, transit and transport), some for long-stay visas (adoption, diplomatic, investors, family reasons, re-entry, elective residence, working holidays) others for both, depending on whether the length of stay exceeds 90 days (medical treatment, self-employment, subordinate work, mission, religious reasons, research, study, volunteering).

FIND OUT IF YOU NEED A VISA

Through a guided procedure, based on your nationality, the country of residence, the reasons for the visit and the length of stay, you can check whether it is necessary or not to apply for an entry visa for Italy.
